Live Nativity 2019
Red Star Veterinary Clinic hosted it’s 6th annual Live Nativity Friday, December 6th, 2019. The free community event was from 6 – 9 pm and welcomed over 1200 visitors. It was a huge success. Red Star also accepted donations for canned goods and pet foods. These donations helped local animal shelters and the Hope Outreach Ministries.
Upon entry, visitors followed lighted pathways leading up to livestock that were on display including goats, donkeys, sheep, alpacas, geese, calf and a pony. Visitors were able to pet many of them as well, which was the first experience for some of them. Farther down the pathway was a manger with Mary and Joseph with the baby Jesus. They were kept company by a pair of spotted miniature donkeys, Willow and Tiny Tim.
While the evening was cold, guests were warmed by several fire pits and serenaded by carolers and live music. Many guests stopped to take part in a Sing-a-long or just to enjoy the moment.
At the end of the pathway, visitors made Christmas ornaments to take home. They also posed for a holiday portrait with Blueberry the goat. Following the activity area, visitors entered the clinic for cookies, cocoa & freshly popped popcorn; and they were serenaded with more live music. Inside the clinic, as they exited the event, rabbits and a bearded dragon named Vhagar greeted everyone.
Thanks to all who came out to celebrate the true reason for the season and thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event possible. Red Star Veterinary Clinic is truly blessed to have such an awesome clientele whom we call friends. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
